In a major boost for the nation youth, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs has introduced the Prime Minister Internship Scheme. This ambitious initiative is designed to offer young individuals valuable, real world work experience across top companies and key sectors. The scheme caters to eligible candidates aged between 18 and 25 years who are currently not in full time employment.
Upon selection, interns will receive a monthly stipend of ₹9,000 along with a one-time joining grant of ₹6,000 to assist with initial expenses. To ensure widespread accessibility, the internships are offered for durations of either 6 or 9 months. The scheme welcomes applicants with various educational backgrounds, making it inclusive for candidates holding Class 10, Class 12, ITI, Diploma, Graduation, and Post-Graduation (PG) qualifications.
Selected candidates will gain hands-on industry exposure, bridging the gap between academic learning and practical job market demands. This practical experience aims to make the youth industry ready and improve their long-term career prospects.
