In a major political development, Bollywood actor Imran Khan has been officially ordered by the authorities to leave India by October 28. The order comes just days after the Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na star participated in a protest organized by the Cockroach Janta Party at August Kranti Maidan in Mumbai.

According to the Mumbai Police, a Leave India Notice was served to the actor under the country immigration rules. Police officials stated that Imran Khan, who is a US passport holder and an Overseas Citizen of India , violated legal norms by joining a public political demonstration without holding Indian citizenship.

The action follows a formal police complaint filed by BJP leader Kirit Somaiya, who questioned how a foreign citizen was allowed to participate in political agitations demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. During the October 10 protest, the actor was briefly detained alongside several other demonstrators. At the time, Imran Khan mentioned that he had joined the gathering merely as a local resident of the city to support freedom of expression, rather than representing any political group.

The government notice has sparked heated discussions across social media and political circles. Authorities have made it clear that non citizens cannot participate in domestic political rallies, and Imran Khan must now comply with the legal timeline to exit the nation.
