High drama unfolded in the national capital as members and supporters of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) launched a massive protest in New Delhi demanding the immediate resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Led by CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke the group rallied near Jantar Mantar raising strong slogans against the Election Commission over allegations of voter list manipulation and procedural irregularities.

Tensions mounted quickly near Akashwani Bhawan and Imtiaz Ali Marg when protesters attempted to break through police barricades leading to stone pelting and brief scuffles with security personnel. Heavy police forces were deployed across central Delhi resulting in the detention of over 500 demonstrators including key youth leaders. Security has been tightened around sensitive government zones and metro stations to keep the situation under control.

Addressing supporters before his detention Abhijeet Deepke accused Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar of compromising the Election Commissions neutrality and failing to ensure free and fair democratic processes. The CJP declared that its nationwide agitation will continue until Gyanesh Kumar steps down and strict reforms are introduced. Meanwhile authorities have urged the public to follow traffic advisories as tight security remains active throughout the capital.
