Sometimes I look around and wonder, Does everyone know what they’re doing except me? Someone is preparing for an exam. Someone is doing an internship. Someone has already decided what career they want. Someone is building a business, learning new skills, travelling, or planning their future. And then there’s me I have things I want to do. I want to write. I want to create. I want to learn. I want to try different things and discover what actually makes me feel alive.

But I don't have a perfect plan. And honestly, that scares me sometimes. We grow up believing that by a certain age, we are supposed to know what we want. Choose a degree. Choose a career. Make a five-year plan. Move forward confidently. But what happens when you are still figuring yourself out? What happens when you have so many interests that choosing just one feels impossible?

Sometimes I feel like I’m falling behind. I see someone my age achieving something, and suddenly I start questioning everything I’m doing. But the more I think about it, the more I realize that I’m comparing my behind the scenes to someone else’s highlight reel. maybe not everyone has a plan. Maybe some people are simply better at making uncertainty look like certainty. And maybe being unsure isn't the same as being lost.

Perhaps some of us need to walk for a while before we know where we want to go. I don't know exactly where I'll be five years from now. I don't know which path will become the path for me. But maybe I don't need to know yet. Because life isn't a race where everyone has to reach the same destination at the same time. Maybe my story is simply taking a little longer to reveal itself. And for now, I think that's okay.
