Over 128 student volunteers from Gautam Buddha University (GBU) played a decisive role in the smooth and successful execution of the UP International Trade Show (UPITS) 2026, held at the India Expo Mart from September 25 to 29. The student deployment and ground coordination officially began on September 21, as volunteers underwent comprehensive training for various high responsibility tasks.
GBU Volunteer Coordinator Pritesh Mishra shared that students managed critical operations across all 17 exhibition halls. Their responsibilities included handling Shuttle Services, Protocol Management, Visitor Scanning, Information Desks, Mobile App Support, B2B Facilitation, FIEO Coordination, and Left Luggage Management. Throughout the trade show, the volunteers showcased remarkable professionalism, discipline, efficiency, and helpful behavior, earning continuous appreciation from event organizers, delegates, exhibitors, and everyday visitors.
Mishra emphasized that participating in such high profile global events provides students with priceless practical exposure. It directly nurtures essential career skills such as leadership, strategic communication, teamwork, crisis management, and large scale event handling.
He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to GBU Vice Chancellor Prof. Rana Pratap Singh for his dynamic leadership and constant encouragement of student initiatives. Additionally, He also expressed his sincere gratitude to the university administration and faculty members for their continuous support and encouragement. He specifically thanked Prof. Chander Kumar Singh (Registrar), Dr. Vinay Lathoriya (Director, Corporate Relations), Dr. Sushil Kumar (Dean of Student Welfare), Dr. Nagendra Singh (NSS Coordinator), and Dr. Gaurav Kumar (Senior Programme Officer, NSS). He stated that the effective coordination of volunteers and the successful execution of the event were made possible through their constant guidance, cooperation, and support.He further highlighted that the support extended by the university administration and faculty members is providing students with valuable opportunities to learn, develop leadership skills, and showcase their talents on prominent platforms.
