Indian airline pilot Captain Smit Machchhar has emerged as a national hero after showing incredible courage during a dangerous mid air crisis on a flight bound for Tel Aviv. Hailing from Mumbai, the experienced aviator was commanding a Fly Dubai flight from Dubai carrying over 170 passengers when his co pilot launched a sudden violent attack inside the cockpit.
Despite suffering severe stab injuries during the assault, Captain Machchhar fought back with exceptional bravery to maintain control of the plane. Showing tremendous presence of mind, he managed to unlock the cockpit door. This critical move allowed alert cabin crew members and brave passengers to rush inside, overpower the attacker, and prevent a massive disaster. His quick action enabled a safe emergency landing in Saudi Arabia, saving everyone on board.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally spoke to Machchhar via video call, saluting his remarkable composure and bravery during the crisis. The captain later shared that reciting prayers helped him stay strong through the ordeal. Currently undergoing specialized medical care, Captain Machchhar is reported to be in stable condition.
