Mukesh Ambani led Jio Platforms is preparing for India biggest ever Initial Public Offering (IPO), giving investors a major opportunity to buy shares in one of the country leading digital companies. According to The Guardian, the IPO is set to open on October 21 and close on October 23, 2026. Jio Platforms aims to raise around ₹30,213 crore through the share sale. The company has set a price band of ₹1,065 to ₹1,119 per share. At the upper price, Jio could be valued at around ₹10.3 lakh crore, making it one of India most valuable listed companies.
Jio, which is part of Reliance Industries, started its telecom services in 2016. It quickly attracted millions of users by offering affordable mobile internet and calling services. The company is now planning to expand further into artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing and digital infrastructure.
The IPO has also attracted major global investors. These include BlackRock, Fidelity Investments and other large investment firms. Reliance Industries is also offering its eligible employees a discount of ₹54 per share. However, the IPO comes at a challenging time for the Indian stock market. Jio expected valuation is lower than earlier expectations, raising questions about investor demand and market conditions. The public issue will be closely watched by investors because its performance could influence confidence in India IPO market. However, investors should study the company details and risks carefully before applying.
