India has rejected a United Nations report that falsely labeled Dawood Ibrahims syndicate D Company as an India based criminal network Addressing the UN General Assemblys Third Committee Indian diplomat Raghoo Puri slammed the description as completely misleading and factually flawed.
Puri highlighted that terrorist mastermind Dawood Ibrahim fled India decades ago and has been wanted for the 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts He reminded the assembly that the UN Security Council officially listed Ibrahim back in 2003 for his direct links to Al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden.
Taking a direct aim at Pakistan India reiterated that UN records themselves place Dawood Ibrahim in the exact same country where US forces found and eliminated Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden in 2011. Calling out UN Special Rapporteur Ben Saul for gross negligence Indian officials warned that publishing unchecked errors severely damages the UNs credibility in fighting global terrorism New Delhi has firmly demanded an immediate correction of the official record to reflect reality.
