New delhi, In a major boost to Indian Railways, a brand new Vande Bharat Chair Car rake successfully completed a high speed trial run, reaching an impressive speed of 180 kmph. The test took place on the Nagda Kota Sawai Madhopur route under the West Central Railway zone.
The trial was conducted by the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO). Manufactured at the Modern Coach Factory in Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh, this modern train was tested under full load conditions to check its stability, passenger safety, and smooth ride quality at top speeds. Built with advanced technology like Siemens propulsion systems and automatic Kavach safety protection, the train showed great balance even at maximum velocity.
While the loaded speed test was a big success, railway officials shared that more technical checks such as empty train oscillation, coupler force, and emergency braking tests will be completed before giving final certification.
